1. Who we are

Lasa Links Insurance, Inc. DBA CoverFam ("CoverFam," "we," "us") is a licensed insurance agency at 2525 Ponce De Leon Blvd, Ste 300, Coral Gables, FL 33134. CoverDad, CoverMom and CoverKids are CoverFam experiences.

We earn commissions from insurance carriers on policies placed through us. This doesn't change the price you pay.

2. What we collect

• Contact details: name, email, phone and mailing address.
• Household details you share in Family Discovery, such as who depends on you.
• Consent records, such as your text-message and email choices, with the date and wording you agreed to.
• Website and usage data, such as pages visited, device and browser type, and general location.
• Documents you choose to upload, such as an existing policy.

Health information only if you choose to complete an Anonymous Inquiry or a Fact Finder: for example height, weight, tobacco use, health conditions and medications.

3. How we use it

• To provide the education, quotes and applications you ask for.
• To service your policies and keep in touch about them.
• To keep records and meet legal and insurance rules.

We use health information only to get quotes or complete an application you request.

We don't sell your personal or health information, and we don't use health information for marketing.

4. Who we share it with

Each gets only what it needs to do its job:

• Insurance carriers, to quote, underwrite and issue coverage you ask for.
• BackNine, our insurance distribution and application provider.
• Momentum, our agency management system, where we keep client records.
• Resend, which delivers our emails.
• Our website hosting and database providers.
• An AI service provider that powers Bob and our policy explainer.
• Government agencies, courts or regulators when the law requires it.

Anonymous Inquiry answers go to carriers without your name, contact details or date of birth.

5. Bob and the policy explainer

Bob is an AI-powered educational tool, not a licensed insurance agent or advisor. Estimates are for informational purposes only.

Messages you send Bob are processed by an AI service provider and kept for up to 12 months. Please don't share health details with Bob.

If you upload a policy to our policy explainer, an AI service provider reads it to create a plain-language summary for you and your agent.

6. Texts and email

We collect your mobile number and SMS consent only when you choose to opt in. We will not share, sell or rent your mobile number or SMS opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information may be shared only with the service providers who deliver our messages. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP; reply HELP for help.

We send texts about your requests and coverage only, not marketing texts.

Marketing emails include an unsubscribe link. Emails about your account or coverage are sent as needed.

7. How we protect it

• Encryption in transit and at rest.
• Staff access limited to the people who need it. Health answers are visible only to admins and your assigned agent.
• Two-step sign-in for staff, with a code sent to their staff email.
• A log of who views, copies or downloads health records.

No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and review access regularly.

8. How long we keep it

We keep records for 7 years after our last activity with you, or longer if the law requires. Bob chat transcripts are kept up to 12 months. Unfinished online forms are deleted after 12 months.

9. Your choices

• Ask to see the information we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct it.
• Ask us to delete it.
• Unsubscribe from marketing emails, or reply STOP to texts.

Email rob@coverfam.com to make a request. Some records must be kept to meet insurance record-keeping rules; if so, we'll tell you.

10. If there's a breach

If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by Florida law.

11. Children

Our services are not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have, please contact us and we'll delete it.

12. Other websites

When you continue to a carrier's or provider's website to apply or buy, their privacy policy applies to what you share there.

13. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here and update the date at the top.
